Clean out all salt dust residue inside your room using a clean dustpan and brush. Start from the top working down, brushing all salt off the rear back support, brush down the walls, then brush down the the top of the salt tiles and the front area of the salt tiles. Next, take the tile holders OFF the wall and carefully place outside the room. Brush down the warming panels, then brush down the seat. Kneeling down outside the unit, use the dustpan and brush to sweep up all the residual salt dust on the floor. This salt CANNOT be re-used. DO NOT USE WATER AT ANY TIME. Clean the glass with either an Enjo cloth or cloth lightly coated with Methylated spirits. Front panel, dust away any salt that may be on the door hinges. Replace the salt tile holders.

On top of the weekly maintenance the following cleaning is required to ensure longevity of your salt cabin. Using a step ladder, take off the roof covering and place carefully against a wall. Get your brush and sweep down: the light fixtures, the exhaust opening, the power box and any other places you see micro amounts of salt dust. If you can use a blower to blow away any salt remaining.

Cleaning outside of cabin

On occasion salt dust will expel from the cabin into the nearby space. As the salt dust has mass, it will settle closely around the cabin in most cases unless there are breezes in the room housing the cabin.

But it is a good idea to keep the area clean of dust by using a dust pan and brush or a cheap vacuum cleaner to clean away any small amounts of dry salt to minimise the chance of corrosion.
