At this stage there is no requirements for technology to be listed with the TGA.
However, as a practitioner you cannot make healing claims regarding Salt Therapy as is standard practice in Australia for other complimentary therapies.
This is a complimentary therapy and you need to advise your clients that there are no guarantees to their personal health outcomes as each person responds differently to salt therapy as it is non-invasive. Some users report great results, while others may report no results at all.

Imported products that are listed with the TGA are registered as “Medical Devices” at the lowest tier. Medical devices have a grading system from very basic devices through to high end peer-reviewed double blind placebo tested drugs. There is a vast difference between a basic Medical Device listing and a Highly researched comprehensively tested device or drug. Importers who list their device with the TGA do it voluntarily.
Halogenerators are at the lowest end on Medical Device listings and are not peer-reviewed or tested to strict Pharmaceutical standards.

Our devices are not listed with the TGA as we do not deem it a requirement at this point in time. If legislation passes that makes it a requirement for registration we will register our devices at the lowest tier similar to local importers.

Warranty issues for imported technology: Any Halogenerator imported from Europe or United States DOES NOT come with a manufacture warranty in Australia. If an issue occurs you will need to send the unit back to the country of origin for any repairs. Imported technology does not provide maintenance or warranty extension programs. If the local importer of imported technology provides a warranty, then that warranty is only covered by the individual importer, not the parent company.
Our Technology is covered by Australian warranties and is back to base repair or replacement within Australia. We also provide extended Australian warranty options for peace of mind operation.
