We are regularly asked the question “Can a Sauna be modified into A Salt Therapy room”?
The short answer is YES!
But, there are a few considerations.
- Firstly, only a DRY sauna can be converted, a steam sauna cannot.
- There will be basic cleaning required inside the sauna room every day after salt therapy sessions to clean out any salt dust that might cause rust.
- You cannot run a salt therapy session immediately after a sauna session as the space will be too hot. The sauna must be allowed to cool down to below 25 degrees Celcius before using for salt therapy.
- If for commercial use, the micro salt generator MUST be placed outside the sauna with the aid of a diffuser system with variable speed fan.
- The sauna must have an air vent in the roof to allow carbon dioxide to escape
