Clinical Definition of Viruses

The flu and the common cold are both respiratory illnesses but they are caused by different viruses carried through the air from person to person. Because these two types of illnesses have similar symptoms, it can be difficult to tell the difference between them based on symptoms alone. Typically a cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory system that primarily affects the upper respiratory system such as the nose, throat and upper chest. Influenza, commonly known as the flu can be more virulent and contagious.

Symptoms

  • dry, hacking cough.
  • moderate to high fever, although not everyone with the flu will run a fever.
  • sore throat.
  • shaking chills.
  • severe muscle or body aches.
  • headache.
  • stuffy and runny nose.
  • severe fatigue that may last up to two weeks
  • in extreme cases even death

How Does Salt Therapy Assist Viruses?

Inhaled salt particles assist in the reduction and the production of bacteria and viruses and aids in healing and recovery in a personalised space. The controlled environment provides relief from allergens that cause irritation to the airways. When small salt particles are inhaled via airways they reduce inflammation and assist the body to fight infection. A private salt room is recommended while you are in the virally contagious stages.

PLEASE NOTE: SALT THERAPY IS NOT A CURE FOR VIRUSES.
